The cozy tavern was a great spot to enjoy delicious meals and relax with friends. The king room was super spacious! I loved the updated bathroom and those comfy robes were a nice touch. And the private patio was perfect for kicking back in the evenings.

Recommend it for couples seeking a cozy retreat
We arrived expecting a nice getaway. The staff was genuinely pleasant and accommodating. Plus, our brunch turned out to be a good buffet, and let me tell ya, the breakfast pastries were fantastic! Really unexpected! You could almost say they were. Chemistry in the kitchen!
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but you pay for the experience.

Historic property with a grand lobby showcasing old-world charm. Various dining options, including Hunter's Tavern, provide a pleasant culinary experience worth a visit.
The mattress in the room felt too firm for my taste, which might be an issue for others with similar preferences. Sizes of the single shower stall left little room for comfort, especially for taller guests. Universal heating and cooling systems meant no control over room temperature, leading to an uncomfortably warm stay on the fourth floor.

Great Location and Friendly Staff
I had a lovely stay right in the heart of town, where everything was easily accessible. The room was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful, particularly as we arrived late for a show. The breakfast buffet offered a fantastic selection of freshly prepared items. However, I did find the bathroom to be a bit cramped—something that could use improvement.

I loved the cozy atmosphere of the Tidewater Inn. My room was spacious and had a beautifully decorated interior. Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee every morning was a treat. The breakfast selection was delicious and offered plenty of choices. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. However, I faced a couple of issues. The HVAC system didn't work properly, which left the room feeling a bit too warm. I also had an awkward experience trying to get towels when the front desk didn't respond to my request. Despite these inconveniences, the overall vibe of the place made it enjoyable.
